1. Training Objective: This major is a key major of high level major group in Jiangsu Province, which cultivates people who have a certain understanding of contemporary Chinese culture and society, have the relevant theories and basic knowledge necessary for basic construction procedures, detailed design of steel structure construction, and project management consulting services for the whole process of engineering construction, master pre-project consulting, detailed design of steel structure. They need master basic skills such as pre-project consulting, steel structure detailing and design, project quality and safety management, project information management, etc. They can be qualified as quality personnel, BIM modeler, BIM technician and steel structure deepening designer, and they are able to participate in promoting the friendly cooperation between China and their home countries.

2.Professional features: The major has built and implemented the talent training model of “school-enterprise collaboration, project-orientation and virtual-real linkage”. The major group is connected to 3 real consulting enterprises including Urban Construction Engineering Consulting Company of school. There are 3 full-time teachers with senior titles in this major, and they have won the first prize in the provincial teaching competition, and the second prize in the provincial vocational skills competition for construction information modeling. In the past three years, students have won the second prize in the “China Construction Cup” National Assembly Building Vocational Skills Competition; Passing rate of vocational skills certificate (intermediate) of students from “1+X” Building Information Modeling (BIM) program is more than 90%.

3.Main courses: construction drawing reading, CAD, construction surveying, REVIT (civil construction), construction technology, steel structure construction and drawing, engineering project management, engineering cost control, construction organization, BIM5D comprehensive management application.

4.Training conditions: engineering project management (bidding) training room, BIM training room, construction method building of prefabricated construction, construction industry modernization technology center, engineering cost consulting service center, engineering consulting scenario training room.

6.Skill certificate: “1+X” Building Information Modeling (BIM) vocational skill certificate (primary/intermediate) or certificates issued by housing and urban-rural construction department for construction site management positions such as constructor, surveyor, quality officer, safety officer and BIM modeler.

7.Employment: engineering project management, building information modeling technology and other occupational groups, capable of working as a quality officer, BIM modeler, BIM technician, steel structure deepening designer and other positions.
