The School of Equipment Engineering has four teaching and research sections: Building Intelligence Engineering Technology, IOT Application Technology, Building Electrical Engineering Technology and Building Equipment Engineering Technology.

In 2004, all majors of the school were identified as “majors of construction skilled talents in short supply” by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Education.
Among them, Building Intelligent Engineering Technology was identified as “Sino-German Cooperation Pilot Program” by China Construction Education Association in 2006, and awarded as “Municipal Demonstration Major” in 2007, “Provincial Demonstration Major” in 2008, “the first batch of brand majors in Jiangsu Province" in 2011. In 2019, it was recognized as the backbone major of Action Plan for Innovation Development of Higher Vocational Education (2015-2018) by the Ministry of Education. And in 2020, the Building Intelligent Engineering Technology Major Group was rated as the High-level Major Group of Higher Vocational Schools in Jiangsu Province.
With high technical content and rapid development momentum, all majors applied in the construction industry, representing the future development of the construction industry. Besides, the school has cooeprated with Nanjing Normal University to set up a “3+2” undergraduate project(Building Electrical Engineering Technology) since 2021.
Since 2007, the students and teachers have won more than 10 gold medals in various national and provincial skill competitions, and the teachers have won the first prize in the National Information Teaching Competition twice. Over 40 high-quality scientific research papers have been published since 2015, including 21 in Chinese core periodicals, 3 in Science Citation Index (SCI )journals, and 2 in Engineering Index(EI) journals.
At present, the school has more than 20 campus training bases and 50 off- campus training bases. All majors of the school have carried out close cooperation with many enterprises in Jiangsu Province. We cooperates with Changzhou Hehai New Energy Co., Ltd. in Building Electrical Engineering Technology to cultivate talents according to enterprise needs. These trained students could have good employment prospects.
The school culture is shaped with the concept of “Intelligence +”. We attach importance to the improvement of teachers’ ability for education and teaching, practical technology, scientific research and harmonious development. Students’ ability for career development, innovation&entrepreneurship, humanity art and social communication are our training focus as well. We pay attention to the quality guidance of all teachers and students in “morality, intelligence and green technology". Driven by innovation, the school reshapes the structure and makes continuous progress through cross-border integration. The students are good at design, construction, management and maintenance. They have strong ability to cooperate and be willing to bear hardships. The employment rate of qualified graduates has been 100% in recent five years, and talents has always been in short supply.
