Jiangsu Urban and Rural Construction Vocational College, located in Changzhou, the Pearl of Jiangnan and the New Energy Capital, is a public full-time higher education institution subordinate to Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Jiangsu Province, and is a construction unit of Jiangsu Provincial High-level Higher Vocational School with Chinese Characteristics. The college was founded in 1986 and has two campuses, Yincun and Qingtan.

The college is the national and provincial construction industry skills shortage of personnel training base, and one of the first batch of housing and urban-rural construction industry vocational skills appraisal pilot units. The college has set up 11 schools, including School of Architectural Art, School of Civil Engineering, School of Management Engineering, School of Public Utilities, School of Equipment Engineering, Department of Ideology and Politics (School of Marxism), Department of Physical Education, Department of Fundamentals, School of Continuing Education, School of International Education, School of Innovative and Entrepreneurial Education. There are more than 740 teaching staff and nearly 13,000 students.

The college adheres to the openness of running schools, carries out in-depth inter-school cooperation with colleges and universities in the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and other countries, pays attention to the promotion of students internationalisation, deepens the Chinese-foreign cooperation, focuses on the introduction of high-quality foreign educational resources and faculty members, strengthens the construction of internationalised professional courses, encourages and supports students overseas study, internships, competitions and cultural exchanges. The achievements of the college have been widely recognised by the society.
